Remote access to the UCF Libraries databases/journals is only available to currently enrolled or currently employed UCF students, faculty, and staff as well as UCF retirees. These restrictions are due to licensing agreements with various companies that provide the many UCF databases. For students to have remote access to databases/journals they must be listed in the Registrar database as enrolled in at least one class for the semester currently underway at UCF.
Access during the summer months:
If a student is enrolled in classes during the spring semester and registers for classes for the fall semester, but is not taking any classes during the summer sessions, the student remains active in PeopleSoft and therefore retains full library privileges (including remote access to databases) over the summer.
If a student is registered for classes for the fall semester, but was not enrolled in classes during the spring semester and is not taking any classes during the summer sessions, then their library privileges will not become active until the beginning of the fall semester.
