There was quite a bit written about the concept in the 1970's and 1980's, so don't overlook older material which may be more extensive and provide you with a strong foundation for your research.
Use the resources listed on the Criminal Justice & Criminology research guide to locate books and articles.
For example, search the UCF library catalog for the words "crime prevention through environmental design" to locate books and government reports. A specific subject heading to use is "crime prevention and architectural design".
The Florida Design Out Crime Association (FLDOCA) -- formerly Florida CPTED Network (FCN) -- provides links to other organizations, but most of the other resources on their website are restricted to association members.
